Moosic

Ok. So I have decided to put up a few examples of what I came up with for NaSoAlMo. These are just instrumentals... a couple of them should have words I suppose, but I don't think I am going to do that just yet. I am going to hang onto those few shreds of dignity just a little bit longer. The second song here, Loose Change, was conceived as an instrumental from the start. It's less than a minute long and was intended as a little interlude between songs. The other two are more song like and perhaps I'll get around to reworking them someday because I kind of like them.

There are a few more that I would like to post up here as well, but I think that I may have to cut out the vocal tracks. Not particularly happy with the way they turned out. So anyway, here are the first three...

so the obvious answer is, you give us these instrumentals and WE make up our own words, and sing them when we've had too much to drink. except that after this weekend i have vowed never to drink again.

oy.

oh - i like! did you play everything and then do production magic? i'm ig'nant on this stuff.

Yeah, I layered several guitar tracks that I played. That was the fun part. I would like to put some drums and bass on there but I don't have my bass here and I refuse to put canned drums on anything. Eventually I would like to revisit all of this and make it better.

I've been listening to the vocal tracks I did and I can't get through them without cringing and curling into the fetal position. I played them for my friend Kalika and couldn't even get through an entire song. Until I am comfortable with it I don't see putting it up for on the site.

I am glad you like it, though. I think some of the musical ideas are interesting and I would like to try to make them more polished.

Anytime you're ready to rawk, you just let me know.

i like mia's idea of coming up with lyrics while drunk. lyrics must pertain to the topic set forth in the title, just for a bit of a challenge. and i totally think the video for these should prominently feature footage of you rocking back and forth in fetal position. that would totally, er...rock?
