Returning to normal... slowly.
Hey. So I had surgery on Tuesday, nothing really serious. I was back home Tuesday afternoon. Matthew from work was kind enough to see me home, pick up my meds and make sure hobos didn't steal my shoes.
Getting back to normal has taken awhile however, but I'm starting to feel a lot better. For the most part I've been in the apartment as it was too painful to get around. Also the medication I have been on causes me to fall asleep within a half hour of taking it.
Unable to get up or reach things easily, I have to carefully plan out my activities and surroundings. There was only one dicey moment: when Rachael Ray came on the Food Network - babbling on and on about something and leering at me with that disturbing Cesar Romero smile - and I couldn't reach the remote to turn the channel. Mercifully, I blacked out and when I awoke it was over.
On Thursday, Mia came by with precious precious ice cream and visited with me for awhile. This was a well timed visit as I was on the verge of leaning out onto the fire escape and harrassing passers-by with random demands and advice. Probably not a recommended course of action with a head full of Hydrocodone. Thank you, Mia.
But anyway, things are looking up. Last night I was out with friends and didn't have any trouble keeping up. Today it was so nice out that I took a little walk and picked up some more stuff at the grocery. I anticipate feeling damn good tomorrow too.
Thanks to everybody that said hey. Talk to ya later.
i was about to bring you a nice bullborn to address the passers-by on smith street. you there, boy! (must be a woman you're pointing to) bring me a turkey! why it's christmas day!
so glad you're feeling better. :) no funs to be in that state. *pat pat pat*
